If you love chocolate and would like to support a NE charity that supports local people with an autism spectrum diagnosis- we have some great news for you!
You can enjoy your fill of guilt-free chocolate in aid of the North East Autism Society on 5k Chocolate Charge run in Darlington on Saturday 12th November.
The sponsored event, suitable for all ages and abilities, can be taken at a run, a jog, a walk or an amble. (1k and 2k routes are also available.) Chocolate stations along the way, where chocolate will be handed out to participants, are sure to keep you motivated, right up until the end. On successfully crossing the finish line, you will be rewarded with a free, comforting, hot chocolate and a Choco Charge mug to take home and remember your achievement.
The North East Autism Society provides a whole range of services to those with an autism spectrum diagnosis and their family. Residential and respite care, family support, education, supported care for adults, workshops and social events are among some of the services they provide. Participants in the Choco Charge over the age of 15 pay £20 to get involved, with a suggested target to raise £40 for the local charity. What a great way to spend a family weekend, or have a get-together with friends?! Do you know someone who loves chocolate, who you could invite along, to complete a challenge, support a charity and have a right laugh together?!
